Clearly I’m living out of a suitcase, actually it’s a Filson duffle. An iron has not been seen, not even a mouse.

Dinner the other night at Fry Brothers Turkey Ranch in the middle of nowhere Pa. They’ve been a family business since 1886. Holiday tradition to do the drive and eat the Turkey Dinner no. 1. Finished with some homemade cherry pie with vanilla ice cream. This dining room was built in the 1950’s, it’s never been updated.

Just arrived:
Some new Michael Spencer

I’ve decided to downsize the closet and refill it with the basics: ocbds and a handful of pinpoints and broadcloths. Michael Spencer excels at reproducing the idealized oxford button down of yesteryear and throws in a personal touch, like the “thank you” written on the packing slip.

Very nice shirts from very nice folks. What more can you ask for?

Boiling down to the basics has been on my agenda as well. Slowly but surly.
