A visit to Pa this weekend has me sporting the Barbour and boots… RL western chambray shirt meets J.Crew cords on a brisk Pennsyltucky morning.

I see what you did there…
Gun Club Check Friday. Abraham Moon & Sons tweed/J. Press jacket, B² OCBD, and a B² silk knit regimental tie. Cold grey skies, but staying warm.
That tie is the bee’s knees…

Thanks for the question and thanks for following along with the blog. When I got my first Barbour jacket a few year back I got a Beaufort. I have always been very happy with the length of the body of the coat and never wanted anything shorter, so I’ve never owned a Bedale. From what I’ve read and heard from others, Bedales are not ideal for taller folks (I’m 5′ 11″) and they don’t cover blazers or sport coats completely, so for those reasons it didn’t seem like a good idea for me. I hope that helps in your search for the right coat, I’m sure you’ll enjoy your Barbour.
I’m a Bedale man myself. I only wear my Barbour while in the country… and typically, I have no need for a blazer, or sport coat while in the country. But on the rare occasion I do, it would be the perfect time to wear one of my overcoats which I get to wear even less than my Barbour.
