The recent pair of White Bucks I bought were too large. Forgot to size down with the Barrie last. So three new Alden’s from the shop on Madison Ave. White & Dirty Bucks, and a delicious pair of Shell Cordovan Plain Tow Blucher with Commando Soles… Yea baby.
justbudfox curious if commando soled shoes were good for Florida… My reason (outside of beings shoe whore and wanting everything), firstly, the lugs on the shoes are very narrow, not like a work boot. Secondly, living in a concrete jungle like South Florida, we get a LOT of rain. Leather soled shoes are very slippery on polished treated concrete that is seemingly everywhere. Lastly, I was on the fence, but they threw in 3 pairs of shoe trees and free shipping if I bought them. He closed me.

Well done young man.
Forgot about the Brooks Brothers unlined Shell Cordovan loafers made by Alden that arrived this week as well. I’m a shoe whore. theunbuttonedlife

I’ve been gradually shifting to classics with an Italian Twist. And I like it.
justbudfox forget Brooks Brothers, it’s yesterday’s story. If you can get NOS BB that’s another story. Mercer & Sons has been carrying the unlined-rolled-collar-full-cut shirt torch for years. A little pricey, but an excellent product all the way around. IMHOGraph Check Wednesday. Wearing a B² ‘Makers’ shirt & tie, a J. Press linen jacket, khakis and Peal loafers. Enjoying these warm Indian Summer days.
I’ll take the shirt in every color, just as soon as BB starts making them again.
